The FoodTech Challenge (FTC) is a global foodtech startup competition. The goal is to support leading early-stage, tech-driven solutions poised to transform food systems in arid, hot, and increasingly challenging environments.

Eligibility criteria
- Project must have a workable MVP, service, or solution
- Company must be less than five years old (founded after January 1, 2019)
- Company must have fewer than 25 employees
- Company have not yet raised Series A funding
- Project should address at least one of the three competition focus areas
Prizes
1. Cash Prize:
- $100k per winner in unrestricted cash to support the development of their startup
- UAE-focused Grants: $200k per winner to support the development of startup in the region in Year 1 post-award with the support of FTC's local impact partners
- Global South Focused Grants: $200k per winner per winner to support the development of startup in the selected markets in the Global South in Year 2 post-award with the support of FTC's local impact partners
- Award of $15k for non-winning finalists
